That's it. After I've been diagnosed with ocd last year, I am now confirmed in the autism spectrum. I just needed to share this with someone

Thank you for sharing your news. I’m sure you have a lot of questions at this point since you are newly diagnosed as being on the spectrum.

There are some good books out there on Amazon about living with Autism and thriving. I know because my son is on the spectrum (he’s 22 now) and his teen years were a bit rough.

But he is really thriving now and I think some of it is because of the books he read about learning to notice social cues and the practice he did of trying to work on his social skills.

The main book I remember being helpful is “The Aspie Teen’s Survival Guide” by JD Kraus. I know you’re about to get out of your “teen years” but I found the book to be helpful even for adults.

I hope you don’t let the dual diagnosis frighten you. Both ocd and autism are things that affect you in different ways, but they are not the end of the world. They are just things to learn to deal with.

Wishing you the best! 💜

You are a strong individual for coming on here and sharing that. I wish I knew more about autism. Please share your outlook on life if you feel comfortable!
