Weight gain with medication

Anyone else gain alot of weight with medication? I have and I find it's so depressing! Anything anyone has done that's helped? Aside from the obvious eating healthy and exercising?!

I’ve found the same with my medication. I haven’t found anything that helps so far... but to be fair I haven’t been exercising as much recently!

I put on about 35 lbs while on sertraline. I switched to fluoxetine and weight hasn’t changed. Didn’t lose but didn’t gain any more either.

Yes I have put on about 15-20 kilos. It’s very frustrating.

If you know the med is going to make you eat more. The only answer is will power. Eat food that will not make you gain weight. Go to sleep hungry until stomach shrinks. No other answer I find.

Medication can also take away your will power. It’s not your “fault” if you self control weakens. It’s a w warning on some labels
