Intrusive thoughts and white knuckling

I've been having issues with intrusive thoughts before I go to sleep for several months now. I feel desensitized to the thoughts themselves for the most part, but what really bothers me is that I feel like I should not have these thoughts every night anymore. Loop tapes dont seem to help, because the issue is that I'm triggered by just going into my bedroom to go to bed. I decided I would just let the thoughts be there, but I feel like just having it there with no response at all and just going to bed naturally is white-knuckling and won't help. Am I supposed dwell on it when it comes but not try to solve it? Or am I suppose to just acknowledge its presence then go about my nightly routine?

i feel like intrusive thoughts are more heightened and more present around night time especially going to bed. you’re mind thinks about 100 things because you’re laying there waiting to fall asleep. i agree that you should just let your thoughts be there. accept that you are having an intrusive thought and label it just as a thought and nothing more. when you feed into it and keep thinking about it, it will linger and make it 10x more powerful. what really helps me is taking a deep breath and naming it OCD. like you said, acknowledge it and continue your night to routine! don’t let it spoil a good nights rest! hope this helps!!!
