I am in the midst of a severe episode of OCD, anxiety and depression.
I had been in remission for 7 years and was very happy and healthy but missed a few doses of Zoloft one week and drank too much alcohol one night it all came crashing back.
After 8 weeks, an increased dose of Zoloft (250mg) has taken a slight edge off the depression and anxiety. But the OCD is barely dented. I’ve gone from a yboc score of 36 to maybe 32. So, I’m miserable and barely functioning.
How long before the Zoloft starts getting at the ocd? I’m also in ERP but not sure if it’s working.

I dont know much about Zoloft but I am just writing to say i am sorry you hit such a bad patch after been so well . Hang in there I went through something similar myself but am coming out the other side. Mind urself
Singlecare web site says "Once you start taking Zoloft in the right amount as prescribed by your doctor, you can expect it to start working in about two to six weeks. Zoloft isn't the type of medication that will start working on the first day, so you'll need a little bit of patience while you wait for it to start relieving your symptoms." You can check with a pharmacy as well.
Eight weeks sounds like a long time to me. I would check back in with your prescribing doctor and see what the possibilities are. Don't underestimate the power of distraction, too. A friend of mine was out of work for 2 years and really depressed about it. Then she got 2 kittens, which were a godsend. Best of luck. You'll beat this back!
