I just started Zoloft last week and was wondering if anyone has had good results from this medicine and maybe how long/ the dose it took to get there!

Hi! My daughter took Zoloft when she was first diagnosed several years ago. It did help, but she now takes fluvoxamine which works better for her. We have learned that there are a number of different medications for OCD that work for different people. It seems Zoloft is the most common and usually tried first. Be patient and see if the full dose works for you once you build up to it. But be aware that other medications are available if the Zoloft doesn’t help. It is a process. I hope you get some symptom relief soon!

Yes, Zoloft works for OCD but there is no one fit for all so you should typically wait for a week or two and see if there is an improvement but it can take 10 to 12 weeks until you feel the full effects of Zoloft.

I tried it, didn't like it and it wasn't effective.

I just finished my first bottle I started Dec 15 so it’s been over a month now and I started with half a pill the first 2 weeks. I honestly can say there’s moments where I’m so chill and in situations I usually would freak out I find that I’m pep talking myself in my head saying “hey you can actually not be pissed off right now” It’s like I feel that I can decide on reacting to my emotions and feelings a bit more rationally but we shall see. Best of luck!

Zoloft helped me manage anxiety and depression surrounding my life situation (precarious income), but had no effect on my OCD. No side effects besides maybe a little sleepiness, but not to the point that I can't function. Every person is different, might be worth a try!
