I do the same thing. For years and years now. I have moments where the numbers change but usually its 5 times i need to fix or check something. But now now its 5 sets of 5 so its exhausting. Sometimes to try and defy the obsessive checking or need to do something a certain amount of times, i modify it in some way so its not that much off what i feel the need to do but it doesn’t cause that much anxiety from not doing it the right way. Then slowly keep modifying it until you don’t need to do it anymore
