Hello, my husband Chris is at quite an advanced stage of MSA, diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2019 and MSA in 2021.
Over the last few days, he has started making a ‘moany’ noise on every out breath. Has anyone had any experience of this please?

Morning, yes my friend did in her advanced stages ,she would say she didn't feel anymore unwell.
I kept a pack of emergency antibiotics at her home, because as you're probably aware, MSA sufferers can't regulate a temperature. If you're worried ask for a home visit from your G.P.

Hi
My Sue has developed noisy breathing before and we found it was chest infection which devloped in Pneumonia quite quickly. The trouble with MSA is your temperature control systems could be not working properly so you don't know the sufferer has an infection which is why a lot of us have emergency antibiotics at howe so when temperature starts to rise we initiate them.
If you haven't yet get a temperature reader and a finger reader for pulse and oxygen.
Chat with your GP about antibiotic emergency pack, but your husband checked over by the GP and say its a chest issue.....
Managing MSA is about managing risk and infections are a big risk.

Oh dear
Nurses and Doctors are the worst patients...
You may need a second or third dose...
If no improvement then 111 or 999
