So sad to say my sister Debbie who was only 64 passed away from MSA on Saturday. She had been very poorly for a long time but her swallowing started to decline about 2 weeks prior.

What an horrific disease, and I’m sad to say that the care and help from the relevant authorities has been poor.

Love to everyone living with or caring for people with MSA x

We all know that at some point we will have to write a similar message ourselves, but the cruel part about this condition is you have no way of knowing when.

The only comfort we have is that the sufferer is now no longer in pain or suffering and knows they have been loved to the last.

Take time to grieve and adapt.

Morning, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss your sister. Sending you love.

I echo your thoughts and feelings regarding the care, not including the hospice care. My friends, before she passed away was extremely poor.

Very sorry for your loss. My own wife, another Debbie died this day 3 weeks ago, aged 60

We had a more positive experience care wise, in that Debbie received very good care - particularly so from our local hospice service over the past 6 months. We based in Ireland.

As others have said, take comfort in the fact that your sisters struggle is finally over.

Take Care
