I don`t post on here too often but have had some good advise and information from you all in the past.
I am sad to say that Graham passed away on Sunday,.
He had apart from this horrible MSA been quite well over the years really, but just one bout of pneumonia floored him, his swallow deteriorated so much he was unable to eat and drink, and nothing could be done except have him home and care for him.
It was horrible to be so helpless but he was comfortable and peaceful, and now at rest.
Good luck to you all out there.

oh I am so sorry to hear this news. You must feel lost after caring for Graham for so long.
It’s a lesson to those of us who are soldiering on with fairly slow progression MSA that we must value what we have as one illness can be enough to derail us.
You gave Graham absolutely the best closure that you could. Now is the time to prioritise looking after yourself. Thank you so much for telling us-it can’t have been easy. Take good care. Gill x
We all feel sorry for your loss and glad the forum did help in some way.Take time for yourself and family now and use those beautiful memories to move forward.
It's strange that the passing of someone whom you've never met can bring about so many emotions. We are a small group and share so many struggles so when the passing of one of ours occurs it feels like we have lost a friend. Your husband is at peace so it is now your time to rest and reflect on all the memories you shared with Graham.
I'm so sorry to hear your news. As others have said please look after yourself, MSA also takes so much from those who care. Reach out for help if and when you need it - the Good Grief Trust have lots of avenues for support thegoodgrieftrust.org/. Keep the love and memories close xx
