My husband has MSA and one of the main problems is dizziness. We thought it was caused by low blood pressure but he’s had blood pressure checks both sitting and standing and it’s always normal, never low. So if it’s not that, does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing it?

Dizziness and MSA
Hi
Dizziness is also one of my wife's main issues with MSA. I put it down to the sensory system not working and affecting the ear which is your balance system.
Sue take a tablet to help called prochlorperazine. Speak to your consultant or GP.
MSA is such a complex condition throwing different symptoms and different times for sufferers so everyone is different in types, times and severity of symptoms...
Good luck and keep safe.
Paul
I’d love to know as we are the same!
My husband has MSA -C and dizziness and double vision is one of his main symptoms. His neurologist recommended various solutions including stretch socking, adding salt to all meals, elevating bed and prescribed fludrocortisone all to no avail. Our last face to face meeting with MSA nurse before lockdown stated nothing will work because he has Msa- c. I have given up now as has he. He hates travelling in the car or being pushed to the park because of the dizziness. His mobility is nearly zero, he struggles eating certain meals unless I cut into small pieces. Has super pubic catheter. Bowels starting to play up. It’s hard.
