Hi, it's very difficult to say what it is, but it could be a chest infection. It's very common in MSA especially if the person has difficulty with their swallow. I hope your dad gets better soon and is more comfortable. Sending you lots of love. Helen x

thankyou so much xx

Hi,

Chest infections are a common issue for MSA sufferers. They are treated with antibiotics and I suggest a chat with your GP about a rescue pack of antibiotics and steroids that are only to be given once an infection starts again, thus eliminating waits for the doctors.

Infections of any sort can become a big big problem quickly for MSA sufferers as Thier body is fighting the condition and therefore the immune system is compromised. Watch and monitor closely.

Good luck and glad your dad's back home.

Paul
