Hi I can't answer on hot but my powered also always high and they never wanted to put me on treatment as they like us to go as long as we can as in age wise. I also am 49 and have just started hydrea. The reason they started my treatment as the fatigue was the thing that was getting me. I just couldn't manage with that anymore . I hope you get some answers soon.

Hi have ET , rheumatoid arthritis and a degenerative spine with nerve damage and I'm on a hrt patch.I've used it for 4 years! Starting before my diagnosis of ET.I've also had bilateral pulmonary embolism and I still went back on the patch. For me the symptoms of severe night sweats(changing sheets) disappeared and the joint pains became more manageable.

At the end of the day it is a risk but you have to.weigh that up against your symptoms.

I use patches, they do help. Sadly ET can cause similar symptoms. It's sad how many symptoms are dismissed, we know how we feel.
