Hello everyone. This is just an update on my bone marrow biopsy.. Last time they tried, the local anaesthetic didn't work so I couldn't have it. Today I went and had no problem. The staff were amazing and I was not in any discomfort. I felt a little light headed when I sat up but I wasn't rushed and was given tea and biscuits before I left. After the initial apprension I was fine and this was due to the ease the staff gave me. I have used this forum a few times and I find it invaluable so thank you to all of you who replied to my last post. I wish you all well.

Morning Dojojojo. I was given a Lorrazepam tablet an hour before the biopsy to relieve anxiety. While the procedure was being done, another nurse was chatting constantly to me. She was lovely. I honestly never felt a thing once the local anaesthetic numbed me. I hope yours goes as well.
This is truly wonderful to read! I am having mine next Tuesday and reading your experience has given me hope that it doesn’t have to be a horror show ☺️
I do hope yours goes well too. I was very apprehensive beforehand, but all went well and I wouldn't be worried again if I had to have another. Good luck with yours.
Good news! A compassionate, caring nursing staff makes all the difference! When I had mine done over a year ago, the nurses talked me through the whole thing, calming my nerves. I was given a topical anesthesic and Ativan. It all worked out well.
