Are you getting regular CMP blood tests? These measure the condition of your kidneys, liver and others. What kidney problem are you having?

IFN can cause kidney trouble. This is from the Besremi label:

"Kidney problems. Your healthcare provider will do blood tests to check your kidney function before starting and during treatment with BESREMi. Tell your healthcare provider right away if you develop any symptoms of a kidney problem, including:

- changes in the amount or color of your urine, swelling in your ankles, blood in your urine, loss of appetite"

This is normally found in the CMP test before any trouble gets that far.

There is one member a couple years ago who reported significant kidney damage on IFN, but it was at the start of therapy.

Hyrdea is not associated as a cause of kidney trouble according to the label, but weak kidneys can cause excess levels of the drug:

"Renal Impairment-

The exposure to hydroxyurea is higher in patients with creatinine clearance of less than 60 mL/min."
