So today I got my stem cells, fresh from my brother who had them harvested this morning so as fresh as can be. I just know the most difficult times are still to come but I just need to take one day at a time. Thanks for all the previous good wishes.
Chris.

From one Chris to another , , I wish you all the very best of luck for a smooth ride in your coming weeks and beyond. As you say uncertain times ahead but keep your faith in your care team and keep smiling through it all best you can. You've taken the hardest step because it's a leap of faith and to do that takes belief so please don't lose sight of that, even when things went awry for me I clung on to my belief and I'm convinced that frame of mind helped me move forward. Always available should you need support at any point having been through the process.
Couldn’t say more than other Chris. Just be positive and follow the instructions of the medics as you recover. I kept track of my blood counts as they were indications of progress towards escape from hospital. Best wishes.
Hi Chris , congratulations on getting your SCT. Can I ask how old your brother is and whether he was a perfect match. The reason I ask is that I am beginning the process and my brother is an 11/12 match but is in his late 60's.Good luck
that is fantastic news. Congratulations for taking this huge step forward. Yes, coming days and weeks will be challenging but your journey will be well worth it.
