Had my last meeting yesterday with consultant and sign all the forms etc. All the organ function tests were ok with no problems and my spleen is only just palpable so no need for anything to be done about that. I am to be admitted on Monday 4th March and have Hickman line put in on Tuesday 5th. Then I guess all the medication and chemo follows until I get to 14th which is set as day 0 - transplant day. I'm keeping everything crossed for a successful outcome but I know from others on this great forum that the journey will be a tough one. Hope to update as time goes on.

My day 0 was 8th March, 13 years ago when I was 58. It is a tough ride as your body is prepared to receive new cells, but it is worth it. Be positive and make sure you get a re-humanising shower every day even if it is late. Good luck. Chris (Princess Leia version)
