Unfortunately my next appointment with Consultant has been delayed until early April as they are no further advanced in their search for matches on transplant register.
The Nuclear medicine tests that I have just had will be added to MyChart which Addenbrookes uses to show appointments, test results etc.
The GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate) study involved having a radioactive tracer injected into my bloodstream and blood samples taken every hour over a 4 hour period. This sees how well te kidneys are working.
Also had a Cardiac Ventriculography Scan which involved also 2 injections of sodium pyrophosphate then having ecg electrodes placed onto my chest and being scanned for about 20 minutes. This tests how well my heart is pumping.
To think that before my diagnosis, I was needle phobic!!!
Just have to wait again😴
Will keep you updated

There will be new people joining registries worldwide so your match might turn up from somewhere exotic. We are all mongrels so it could be from anywhere. I know several ‘transcontinental’ transplantees with German cells travelling worldwide to Oz, NZ and USA
It is why everyone here should be encouraging family and friends to go online, get swabbed and join We can all help each other. Sarah, my donor, had responded to a newspaper article just 18 months before matching me!
Hope your match turns up.
