Hi I have been on Ruxilinitib for past two years after being on Hydroxycarbamide for 16 years. Diagnosed with Jac 2 PV in 2005. I had numerous side effects from a higher dose of Ruxi have been on Ruxi and Hydra combined for short time but that caused problems. I have been on Ruxi 10mgs twice a day now for past 8 months my platelets are just hovering under 600. My problem now is I have had a harsh dry spasmodic cough for going on 10 months getting worse now wakes me up 3 to 4 times a night. Also getting more frequent during day. X-ray was OK have had Docycycline with no effect. Could this be a result of Ruxi or Hydra.

I’ve been on hydroxy for 10 years (I have ET CALR+). I have a mild annoying cough - not as bad as yours but dry environments (air conditioning or heating) make it worse. I keep some water handy and that helps.
are you by chance taking any BP meds? Just trying to think of other things that could cause it. ACE inhibitors and ARBs can cause coughs. Just trying to think of something other than you RUx that might be causing it. Either way I hope it gets better!
