Dizziness Nausea
Suggest getting a second opinion from a MPN Specialist. Dizziness and nausea are common adverse effects of Hydroxycarbamide. If the GP finds no other cause, the logical conclusion is that you are experiencing an adverse effect. My GP often says the simplest explanation is the best explanation.
Hunter many thanks will try
Yoda says "Do or do not. There is no try." The ongoing dizziness and nausea are unlikely to get better on their own. These symptoms need a proper assessment and intervention. As ainslie suggests, you will need to be persistent and refuse to accept no answer as an answer. Note that if the issue us the result of an adverse effect, there are other treatment options you may tolerate better.
I think Hunter maybe right with his view on that one, when docs don’t know or can’t be bothered they will shift you back and fore eg Haem to Gp and back and fore, very common, persistent and determination seems to work and don’t worry about ruffling feathers, sometimes they need a bit of that if they are not bothering
I would be asking, what tests did your GP do to conclude all was ok? Ear issues such as Menieres’s disease can present with dizziness and nausea for example.
Did anything change a few months ago when you first experienced dizziness/nausea? Are you on other meditations or has there been an increase in any medication? Sometimes it’s a process of elimination, but persistence and self advocacy with your healthcare team is required if it’s an ongoing issue.
Good luck
Well, I hope it subsides for you Paraic, but if not persist for an explanation. It’s ok for you to be at a loss but not your healthcare providers.

so sorry to hear you’re feeling unwell. I’m not sure my experience with hydroxyurea will be helpful to you. I only took it very briefly because I had a horrible reaction. My best suggestion to you would be to consult with a naturopath for these symptoms. Best of luck in finding relief
Thank you Gran
So sorry to hear you have been feeling very unwell.
Interestingly I have tolerated this medication for 5 and a half years. Generally no dizziness or sickness so think something else has happened.
I am sure the right thing is return to your GP and discuss further, wonder if they will do a full blood test for you, as certainly your body is telling you something is not feeling right.
Please do let me know how you get on.
Many thanks Hunter will do
