I have had ET for over 4 years, been on Hydroxycarbamide with no adverse effects. The last couple of months I have been getting increasingly lightheaded and dizzy, often feeling like I'm going to pass out. More recently started getting pins and needles in fingers. Is this a common side effect of ET or could there be something else going on?
Thank you

I’m post Et Mf and I also feel light/headed and dizzy. It’s usually worse when my hemoglobin drops and my anemia gets worse. I would definitely mention this to your doctor. My dizziness got worse when I was transitioning to MF.
The tricky thing is that dizziness and pins and needles in fingers can be either the ET, a hydroxycarbamide adverse effect, or something unrelated. Sometimes timing is the only clue. This definitely something to discuss with your MPN care team.
I got 'vertigo' when my Hydroxy was increased. Awful and frightening. Needless to say I wouldn't do the increased dose after that as this was my third side effect.Firstly a skin problem and very painful. Second delibating breathing issues, this too went away when stopping the increase.
I carry around anti dizzy drugs as I occasionally feel dizzy.
