haematoma -update

As suggested, I got in touch with my haem who told me to go immediately to the hospital. I didn't see her face- to- face but was seen first by a junior doctor and then had a blood test. She reported back to the haem, sending photos.

The outcome was I have a course (3 days) of Tranexamic Acid (2000 mg per day) to reduce any bleeding while the haematologist tries to work out what is happening. She did not feel my present medication ( HU 1,000 mg one day and 500 the next; daily 75 mg aspirin; and 20 mg rivaroxaban daily) needs changing. My platelets were 427. I will be seeing her in 17 days' time.

Thank you once more, Hunter. Sallie

CORRECTION; the dose of Tranexamic Acid is 4,000 mg Not 2,000 per day. Sallie
