Hi I had terrible cramps in legs and hands. The liver team suggested taking magnesium and since doing that I have had fewer episodes and over a much shorter timeframe, so definitely done me some good. Might be worth asking your consultant their thoughts.
Hope you find a solution

I've had cramps since my MPN Dx, I used to have when I was young, now it's back.
Has your Dr provided any guidance?
Do you have info on your MPN Dx, blood counts, other details? Did it start with any medication, or just with your Dx, or before all that?
Try Tums antacid tablets and/or pickle juice. Really!!
Hi, yes, I used to get horrendous cramp in my legs and feet. It was very odd and used to happen even when I was walking - I also used to suffer with RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) at night. I spoke to my Haem, and he suggested taking a magnesium supplement, as with Loobylou72, it really helped. I still get the occasional cramp, but nothing near as bad as it was before.
Hey Julia...
Yes, I also suffer from cramps, & especially so after any exercise... Found that taking Magnesium supplements w/ food can help alleviate the problem. Raw Beetroot juice daily (everyday 300-500ml), possibly also assists my efforts... The raw nitrate helps to open the arteries & provide greater blood flow...
Hope this helps you too...
Best wishes

Magnesium definitely helped me. The cramps were dreadful but I hardly get them since starting a magnesium supplement.Karen
