On Saturday I tested positive for Covid19. Called 119 and reported it and was told that someone will call me and received few texts from NHS but no call form NHS about Antiviral meds. I waited till Sunday morning and sent email to my MPN nurse and because it was weekend got jut auto replay to call oncology for emergency. so I did. By now I was feeling very poly. I barely could speak. Oncology nurse said that she will organise Antiviral meds. Half hour I had a call from NHS/ Barths hospital to ask me whole lots of questions and she explained that oncology did not call them but she will make shore to deliver Antiviral meds after I also spoke to a doctor who told me that some of my meds are contraindication to the antiviral meds and that I will have to stop taking them for a eight days. I agreed to that and Three hours later I received Antiviral meds. So I took those meds as advised. Then I had a call from oncology to say as to per advisement of haematology doctor that I would have to go to A&E for check up to make sure that I am having enough oxygen, check my bold and X-ray. So one hour after I took Antiviral meds as I was on the way to hospital I was feeling better, no terrible headache, no pain, I was able to speak. As a side effect from Antiviral meds I was having this horrible after test in my mouth that it made me wanting to vomit. But I was feeling better and I was so thankful for that meds. Today I am on a third day with those Antiviral meds and it is working. Still got cough, but is not bad. A&E checked me and all was good and they sent me back home with the advise to complete course of Antiviral meds. They were very impressed with it and how it was working well. I am thankful to NHS for those Antiviral meds.
