My understanding is that as someone with ET I should be getting a third Covid19 jab. As I have heard nothing (14/09/21) I asked my GP practice what was happening and was told that ' The surgery does not now deliver immunisations.' and referred me to covidenquiries@nhs.scot - who have not replied yet....
So that I know what I am talking about please confirm that all Blood Cancer people (including ET) are supposed to be getting the third dose?
I know that somewhere in my searches for information I saw a report detailing the immune response of each Blood Cancer type versus medication (ET on Hydroxycarbamide was just 36%) Can anyone tell me where I saw this as I have lost it.....?
Thanks

The guidance from the CDC at this point is that people taking medications that have weakened their immune systems should get the third dose of the vaccine at this point. The third doses are authorized in this situation. It is anticipated that the third dose may be authorized for everyone 8 months from the 2nd dose. We will see what happens with that here in the USA.
I think the article was on the blood cancer uk website. If its the one i'm thinking of it initally showed that people with blood cancers didn't do too badly with the vaccine but when you drilled down into the findings people on hydroxy and particularly those with PV had really poor results - about 36%.
