Hey, all! Just had my first vaccine yesterday. Just had a sore arm the first day. Feeling better now. Second one scheduled for March 1st. I’m in the states, so I had the Pfizer one. I feel so fortunate that I was able to get it so I can relax a little and start getting on with life again soon.

Hey glad you finally got sorted after being a little disappointed last time you rolled up (not your sleeve though ! ) . I too have a sore upper arm a few days after my jab . . I can live with that. Chris

Thanks, Chris. I heard the second one is a bit worse with the side effects but I’d rather have side effects for a few days then catch Covid.

Snap! Completely out of the blue, all set to watch a good western on tv, phone call, spare vaccine, "Could you come over?" thought for a sec. bogus, then she said, it was the same place I got my flu jab! I had not moved so fast since early last year, a lot of familiar faces, from local health centre, when I got there! Next jab April 27th, astra/zeneca. Living like a hermit since 23rd March last year, HELLO WORLD!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😂😂😀👍👍👍

Hi Adlon , definitely gave me a psychological boost getting my jab. Makes you think there's light at the tunnel end. Had up it anot her surgery but it was my surgery blood nurse administered it . . Couldn't have been happier as she is a very experienced needle jabber.Chris

Yes Chris, it was a doctor I had been speaking to on another matter two weeks ago, they were all putting things away, big smiles all round. I'm not a healthy bunny, so I'm well known in the health centre, everyone could see how much it meant to me, the semi-isolation for 11 months, but I'm 64, and did not expect the jab until April! Walking out I was almost incoherent, babbling on! Even my ex doctor gave me a friendly hand shake! I shall sleep very well tonight!🙃👏🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍

That’s good ! I had same vaccine last sat and my side effects came out 4am sun pain around eyes and a strange headache ! Also Monday I have the flue like body aches all day and tiredness but all okay today wed ! Just goes to show we are all different in how we react !

Any reactions will have to be put to the back burner at the moment, going for ECG next Monday, broken skull from 2018. I am having all sorts of weird side effects, headaches, lack of balance, body aches, tiredness, numbness of left hands and left side of body, heart flutters, so any side effects of vaccine minor or otherwise will have to be put into my hotchpot of ills! My medical condition is rather colourful at the moment? A number of my medical specialists have named me as a "one off" highlighting what you said "we are all different in how we react" Stay Safe!

Sorry for sounding a bit of a pain in the posterior, ok I'm having a bad time, but at least I've got my first jab, which I am very grateful for, ironically did get a definite reaction from the A/Z jab this morning, flue body aches, which sounds similar to Holly2021's symptoms?

You don’t have to apologize. We all have our bad days and we need to vent. That’s why this forum is so great. Hope you feel better soon.

Hey Cindy... :-)

Great news. I shall be listening intently to her of any after-effects... Please keep us all Posted.

Things are still pretty tough over your way, and in greater Europe. Hence, we here 'Down-Under' are still waiting for the first vaccines to start rolling out, perhaps later this month or early next...?

Stay safe & well...

Well done. Having my first one on Saturday. Feeling a bit nervous. Although as you say looking forward to some normality. Take care

Hi Maisie, Don't be nervous, you'll be absolutely fine. Had mine almost 2 weeks ago. Didn't feel a thing and felt nothing since. Can't wait for my second one 17th April. Good luck. Kate

Hello all. I was fortunate enough to receive both Pfizer vaccines. My second was yesterday. I was particularly worried about this one because of what I’ve read about the 2nd dose being “the one that gets ya.” So far so good though. Yes terribly sore arm but otherwise okay for now. As an aside, my hemo did tell me not to inject my 45 mcg of peg interferon on the weeks that I get vaccinated. I don’t think he was worried about any potential drug interaction per se but rather just my having to deal with feeling potential side effects from both. Miriam
