I’m on peg. Interferon, 64 years old, and back working in a secondary school. I was told shielding had finished and the trust expects everyone back at work!

Are you feeling comfortable about being back at work Poppy? ?? I’ve been back for a month and we have really strict safety protocols so I’m feeling pretty good about. I worked from home for first 5 months of the pandemic and besides working in my jammies I feel better being around my co-workers.

I take Hydroxyurea and work as a Nurse in an Outpatient Clinic and have had no days off since the pandemic started. I was directly exposed to COVID by one of our physicians prior to our Facility mandating and providing us with masks. I have been very blessed to stay well.

I am looking forward to cooler weather but not looking forward to the start of the Flu season.

Oh wow!!! Musicluvr.... I’m sorry and yet thankful and amazed that you have been taking care of people while you need to care for yourself !!!! It’s incredible that you didn’t get sick..... you were definitely watched over!!! Stay safe and stay well !!! I wish you the absolute very best!!!!! 🌸🌸

Hi. I have PV and am on hydroxyurea. And, like musicluvr, have been working throughout the pandemic, though as a Clinical Social Worker in a military hospital. Presently, we are seeing patients either wearing masks or behind plexiglass. But that may change as our numbers of COVID cases increase. We are planning for a surge in October/November and then likely would go to doing phone sessions and only seeing patients in person if emergent.

Hope that helps with your concerns.

Hi Smile2... I’m sure your doing amazing work!!! Both my kids are social workers !!! I would assume you may be going to phone sessions because it’s expected that the fall and winter season is going to be a more difficult fight against covid?? That’s what my concern is. I was working from home first 5 months, went back a month ago and now I’m not sure how the next few months is going to look like !! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Could I ask what country or state your in??? I ask because in Canada we’re more concerned about this second wave we’re going into and it sounds like that’s the same for you??

Thank you so much .

I live in Canada and in my province, Manitoba, we’ve been very fortunate to have very low COVID numbers all along. But we are seeing them begin to rise to where they were in March and even though we’re still fortunate the numbers are lower than in many other places,, we don’t want to become complacent.

Stay safe and healthy.

Yes... I’m in Ontario and it’s the same here so hopefully we can keep the covid cases down .... fingers crossed but I think we’re going to be ok. 🙏🏻🌸

Have a good and safe day!!

Hi, I am on Pegasys for PV and have worked throughout at a university in the U.K. The campus closed in late March so we have been working remotely, but it is now open again. We are busier than ever with record numbers of students needing to be accommodated and taught in a socially distanced campus. We have a mass COVID testing programme for everyone, our own track and trace system and masks are mandatory. So it feels as safe as it can be. Hopefully we can identify and contain any outbreaks on campus, it is worrying though to see the rise in cases in many other unis. Good luck with your work! Susana x

in reply to Susana7

Thanks Susana7 .... certainly sounds like your covered for safety... we have implemented very strict protocols in our office so basically on any given day we may only have about 12 employees coming through but about 5 always... crew are kept away. So I feel pretty safe but you always get someone saying “oh no you shouldn’t be in the office” .... that’s what puts fear in me.. it makes you question your decision!! 🤷🏻‍♀️
