This is the site where you can register as extremely vulnerable, whether or not you have had ‘the letter’.

Hi, well, if you have had the letter you dont really need to register as you already will be.

I think the registration process at the above link is primarily aimed at finding people who need support eg from food parcels if they are unable to get out and do not have their own support network. I registered on there as we have not long been moved and our network of friends are almost exclusively over 70 like us and my family are all at a distance. My details were then passed to Sainsburys. Hope that helps.

I registered as soon as the Public Health England site became available.

I said that we did not require food parcels.

I am on the Shielded Group list now. Sainsbury’s sent me an e-mail this morning. I have been able to register to order groceries on-line, and if there were any slots available, I could arrange Click and Collect.

I shall put turkey, pigs in blankets, stuffing mix, brandy butter, mince pies, figgy pudding, etc on my list and be ready for when the next slot becomes available.

Me too. I registered at the start saying no letter and had help with food. Yesterday I reregistered because I had emailed my GP on Tuesday afternoon asking why no letter yet. I added a link to the MPN voice inofrmation re MPNs and by 9am yesterday she replied saying yes I should have had letter , She would issue one to me in the post. So I have reregistered saying I have had letter! I think it will take a couple of weeks at least for anything to happen. I also wonder if because I have said I currently have help with shopping I will go to the back of a queue... . They are way behind in sending out letters and sending the database updates to the supermarkets. Thank goodness for good friends who appear to be willing to do shopping. Long live NCT friendship groups.

Thanks for the information, but you still can't register in Wales. You have to wait for a letter. Lists are being sent to GPs for them to cross reference. It says to speak to GP but to wait- GP is strapped out at the moment and wait half am hour to get to speak to anyone aboutan appointment. Guess we'll just wait and see what happens. Welsh Government is about 2 to 3 weeks behind England. Vulnerable list hopefully will be with supermarkets by next Wednesday. Hey ho keep smiling. When the dark clouds gather uninvited and unwelcome the sun continues to shine and one day there will be blue sky. 😁😁

Dear all

Please bear with your GPs if you can. We only got an email yesterday from EMIS which is one of the main GP software systems alerting us that they will be adding more coding software over the weekend to enable GPs to code at risk of COVID 19 and add people to it and sort the letters out.. Obviously its hugely frustrating for all and I keep looking for my letter in the post which still hasn't arrived despite confirmation with my GP over a week ago that I should be on the list. It is all very strange times and practices are having daily zoom meetings to keep up to date with the rapidly evolving situation with changes to practice in particular the concern re getting adequate supplies of PPE etc.

I do hope those of you who are alone have managed to get some help with food deliveries even if just via your local council or volunteer groups as there is still going to be a delay for us getting delivery slots with the main supermarkets.

Take care all, good luck, keep isolating and Happy Easter
