Can I take Imodium when I have to take nitrofurantoin for a urine infection please let me know as soon as possible because I have diarrhoea

I would ask a pharmacist.

Personally I would never use immodium again. A GP told me that it's pretty much a no no as it I mobilises the gut and it's better to let the bug/infection take its course over 24/48hours rather than prolong it in your system by using immodium.

Before starting any new medication for me I always go to medscape drug interaction checker online and fill in the meds I am taking to make sure there are no serious problems. Hope that helps
