Hi Chel1,

I've had arthritis in my knees (and plenty of other places!) for years and was diagnosed with ET Jak2 earlier this year. I use frankincense oil (3% with argan oil base but almost any oil would do; Jojoba oil, almond oil, even olive oil), which I rub into my arthritic joints every morning. (Even twice a day probably wouldn't hurt!)

Don't get me wrong - it won't cure it but I swear by it for easing pain and stiffness. It's vital to follow the regime every day though.

Good luck and stay safe and well.

Ruth

Forgot to mention that, for me anyway, staying active helps a lot. I walk 6kms most days and it keeps me centred.

Another option for OA in the knees is hyaluronic acid injections into the knee. It is a gel that when injected helps to protect the joint. Am about to go try my first go at this. You akready heard from Pte82 about some of the anti-inflammatory supplements that can help. Curcumin works quite well for me. You may also want to look into an anti-inflammatory diet. Nutrition really does make a difference.

Hope you get relief soon.

Thanks for your reply do let me know how you get on with injection the steroid injections I had 2 and half months ago really did ease it but now it's coming back again to said to come back in 3 months for another. Do you know if this will effect my blood counts

Inflammation can affect platelet counts, causing reactive thrombocytosis. Would not expect it to be a very big impact if it did happen though. Will let you know how the hyaluronic acid injections go.
