Sure others have better answers but Heparin is an anticoagulant used to stop clots. I have used it on long flights where risk is higher. It doesn’t ordinarily reduce platelets
Yes I had to start on heparin and was very I'll my platelets dropped to 48 ! I am not allowed to have it any more and carry a card just incase I am given it
