Hi, I want to thank you for all the thoughts and advice sent in reply to my query about visiting my son this weekend. Your thoughts were much appreciated and after some discussion we have decided not to go this weekend and hopefully leave it another fortnight when it will be 1st August when Shielders are supposed to be "let loose".....whatever that will mean. It has been so comforting to have all your input and has helped me very much. What a great place MPN Voice is! Regards, Fran

Hi, I remember reading your post but can’t remember how far away your son lived. Is it too far to meet halfway and have a socially distant picnic ?

I'm in North Yorkshire and he's Nottinghamshire, 2 hrs drive. Anyway, decided on Sat 1st August all being well. Thanks for reply.

I also decided to delay a visit to see my daughter/granddaughter. Like you, I hope to be able to go soon. Meanwhile there is always FaceTime. Hope we both get to visit for real ASAP.
