Given our recent discussions about trust, control and children returning to school ... well I guess this sums it up. :)))

This made my husband smile this morning, in an all too knowing way: it's exactly the rationale that some parents at his school are giving him for not returning their child to school (as they play out front with all the neighbour's children) when a member of staff has visited to invite them to take up their child's place. Thankfully, they're in the minority!

Presumably they don’t want to risk over exposure - playdates / beach trips AND school? 🤔😁

I simply cannot believe how some people are acting, swarming to beaches and parks and not doing any social distancing, and don't get me started on the litter they leave behind!

The litter thing. What’s that about? I thought we’d moved on. ‘Please take your litter AND your COVID home with you’?

Incredible right??? There are way too many people who just don’t get it !!! I’m sure we all have a few of those around in our own lives too ... it boggles my mind !!! That ignorance is what scares me more then the virus itself because I work so hard to keep myself safe (PV), working from home, etc ... that’s what keeps someone like me (us) from being able to move forward and away from this virus!! Hope you, Ebot and everyone on this forum is staying safe .!!

Leaving aside the people who think COVID is a scam / (not) wearing a face mask is a political statement. And ignoring the group who can’t wait to get to the shops / manicurist / pub / on a plane and ‘back to normal’, what really bothers me are the vast swathes somewhere in the middle. Those who genuinely think they are being socially responsible but who are full of ‘just’ and ‘only‘ and whose social bubble(s) are inflating quicker than a bouncy castle at a kid’s party.

I’m not yet sure how I’m going to negotiate this. But I’m feeling really quite exhausted. 🤔

EXACTLY !!! Those “somewhere in the middle” are the ones we should fear the most!!! The others are transparent so we know what’s there...!! LOL! Love the bouncy castle analogy!!! So true !!!

We would love to visit family, especially our little granddaughter, but we're going to wait until it is a lot safer, goodness knows when that will be. We have to have an electrician visit tomorrow, I'm trying to work out how to get him in and out as quickly as possible , I've got anti bac, disinfectant etc at the ready. fortunately he only has to come into the hall way.
