My platelets initially were 1600 but a year later around 500 but recently went back up to 860. They are now back down to 550. The normal range is around 150 to 400 - I haven’t managed to get under 400 yet. I take the same dosages as you of Hydroxy and asprin.
In Australia is 150,000-450,000. So 690 is still h
High.
Just Google male or female platelet range.
The top of the normal platelet range varies from lab to lab. The diagnostic level most commonly used is 450,000, which is the conventional cut-off for a diagnosis of thrombocytosis. Your doc may or may not target getting your platelet levels down to a "normal" level. Some believe in "sanitizing" the blood cell numbers. Others look at the symptom pattern (Hx of thrombosis/hemorrhage, TIAs, etc) and the co occurring risk factors (e.g. age, cardiac issues, hypertension, etc) and try to reduce the patient's risk on a case-by-case basis. For many under age 60, this means an aspirin-only protocol at levels under 1 million.
Hope that helps. All the best to you.
Thanks for that I'm 69 so I don't know what happens when I reach 400
I’ve been told 350-450. Mine went down to 350 from 586 in two weeks on 500 HU and aspirin
