How did u feel when you started taking anagrelide? I was on it for 3 years straight with no issues. Kept my levels stable. A few months ago it was hard for me to fill my prescription so my Dr than switched me to Jakfi which didn't work for me. I was on it for 30 days and my levels went up. My dr. put me on Hydroxrea to bring my levels down which was a nightmare with all of the side effects. I had ever side effect you could think of . 😱😱😱 After being on it for 30 days and feeling like crap. Now I'm back on Anagrelide and these headaches are driving me crazy not to mention I feel dizzy. Hoping my body adjust soon. I remember having these headaches when first started taking Anagrelide 3 years ago.

Switching Meds is making me CRAZY!!!
When I started Anagrelide when I was first diagnosed (I was randomized to it on a trial), I had terrible side effects which really scared me - bad headaches and palpitations. They eased off after a few weeks though and then I felt really well. Hopefully your body will get used to it again.
I was on Hydroxicarbomide first side affects were awful and lowered my white and red cells. Started anagralide I was told by my consultant that it would take 6 weeks to get it settled. He was right the only side affect I am left with is temp fluctuations esp at night. But a hundred times better than Hydroxicarbomide. Keep going it will get better.
I've been on Anagrelide for a few years, previously hydroxy until I started having reactions to it. I had bad palpitations at first, they settled down, then flared up and settled down again recently. My platelets are in normal levels and have been for a while. I wish someone would invent a drug with NO side effects!
