I have had my letter from nhs saying to shield and have been able to obtain slots at Sainsbury’s but now I am unable to get a slot for the next three weeks has this happened to anyone else

Sainsbury’s slots unavailable
Haven't had a letter but been unable to get a slot with sainsbury at all, even though we've been an online customer for over 15 years.
Yes - got confirmation from Sainsbury’s that I’m on their vulnerable list, so can now access home delivery section of their website, but no slots available on any days!
I looked yesterday and there was nothing but when I looked a couple of hours later there were slots available for delivery on Friday. Expensive but available
I have decided that I’m just going out to the shops and hope for the best
I’m wondering why Sainsburys has been singled out. Surely it would have been better to allocate some of us to other supermarkets too. This is getting to be a very stressful situation for a lot of us. We are told to shield ourselves then we can’t get food. Many areas have local support groups who will do shopping. Surely better than braving the supermarkets ourselves
You just have to keep trying. I tried for 2 days, even woke at 4.30 yesterday morning and couldn’t sleep so tried then with no luck. I kept trying all day and just after 3:30 there were lots of slot available every day until Sunday, I find the slots for vulnerable people only come up on week 1 . I kept myself logged in and just refreshed the app every 30 minutes, I had already done my shop and saved it in my basket, so once I had got a slot I checked out straight away.
Good luck.
Judy
I received an email from Asda, saying I am vulnerable and slots are available. Asda said no doubt I will hear from tesco and sainsburys. I still haven't received letter
I have had my e-mail from Sainsbury’s informing me that I am now in the Public Health England shielded group.
I have registered for groceries, but there are no slots.
I completed the website feedback and suggested that they made more of their supermarkets do click and collect. There are two Sainsbury’s stores within a few miles which don’t offer this.
Yes this is what I got, but to no avail. Got to eat, so sending my husband too Marks and Spencer’s as usual really civilised and well managed, will try Sainsburys again in 48 hours, for household products and cat food, but not holding my breath, and when my hubby does go to get these products the shelves are still not well stocked.
Yep got notification today as being extremely vulnerable so went on line and tried to get a slot, but was told that I was not a priority and to try again in 48 hours. I have ET JAK 2 Positive and numerous other problems.
Got a delivery slot from Iceland just now for Friday as I’d heard they had better availability than the bigger chains. Not as wide a range as bigger supermarkets but plenty of useful stuff so definitely worth trying if you’re struggling to find a slot..!
I got one yesterday. Have you been identified by Sainsbury's as vulnerable and received an email from them? You also need to keep checking regularly for when they release the slots as they go very quickly!
You need to ring a particular number for Sainsbury’s where you answer a number of automated questions .The number I found/used was 08009534988.
If you have a nectar card, have it to hand so you can give your card number. I think perhaps it may have gone more smoothly for those who’ve shopped on-line with them before??
Hope this is helpful.
I think other supermarkets are beginning to put measures in place to prioritise those on the gov extremely vulnerable list.
