For the people out there who get some sort of weird pleasure from scaring the mentally vulnerable amongst us, will you kindly please go away, shut up, and stop it.
You are doing no good at all and it isn’t fair.
I have gone from being mildly concerned to thinking bugger it, if I get it I get it. My husband is still running four businesses, all tourism related, and he’s in and out four or five times a day ( he’s 68 I’m 66) we have a young man here fitting an alarm system, I’m going into Kendal M and S later ( think of the brilliant summer sales girls after all the shops have been empty for months!) then I’m meeting up with friends for a large scone and a cuppa later.
If I fall off my perch then c’est la vie. I’ve had a bloody good ride and I’ll skip off to the pearly gates with a grin on my face. I refuse to spend my days and nights wondering how poorly I MIGHT be.
We had an email from the church warden this morning. He and his wife are in their 70’s and we’re infected by a friend from London.
I quote” the virus seems to have an incubation period of 5 days. My wife became ‘ poorly’ first. A headache, dry cough and a need to sleep a lot more. I developed the virus 5 days after her. My wife has now had symptoms for 11 days so the 14 day isolation period seems about right. The government seems to be pointing us to developing herd immunity and I agree. This is not flu, and we certainly are not on top form, but neither are we seriously ill. “
This quote is taken from an email sent to all parishioners. I think we need to look on the bright side and stop worrying frankly. Cup three quarters full folks!
Love
Louise
Ps looking forward to seeing younger daughter next week who is visiting from London.
