Living With MPNs Day - London

Saturday’s forum in London was very good and it will be well worth looking up any videos that might be published for your own specific conditions, as well as some of the topics that cover the whole spectrum. The Myelofibrosis presentation was the best I have seen.

I managed to meet 11 of the 14 I had id-ed beforehand, plus three others unexpectedly, from healthunlocked. Glad I had specified that I am 5-11 with a moustache as otherwise at least three others in hooped multi coloured jumpers (my ‘point of reference’ for the day) could have been tackled!

The breakout session for Myelofibrosis was the biggest I have seen with 40-50 participants in a cosy room

It was great to put faces to names as I have read helpful snippets from some (Piggy as an example) for a long time.

Although a shame I didn’t get a full house on my healthunlocked bingo card it was really nice to meet, and in some cases reacquaint, the ones that I did. I hope at least the people met their fellow ETers, PVers and MFers as that is far more important.

So back to the regionals (Sheffield Glasgow next) where I would encourage others to try and ID and meet fellow attendees

Chris with the Princess Leia stem cells.

Hi Chris. Couldn’t get to London : any specifics for MF worth passing on ? I did hear Reuben Mesa summing up, but that couldn’t be very detailed.

Regards

Rachel

Reuben covered all sorts of trials as you saw. Not much else I recall specifically. . The Myelofibrosis presentation was the best I have seen.

Great to meet up with you Chris and others that I know from this site.

Brilliant presentations from patients, brought everything back down to earth and away from the technical jargon, which I must say was less than others I have attended.

It was a really good day and I would recommend it to anyone that can attend.

I travelled back on the train with Maz. I hope you got home ok Maz, without a parking ticket? x

Best wishes to all

Judy xx

Hi Chris. It was lovely to meet you. I didn’t get to meet anyone else on your list however - I suppose I thought you would be surrounded by everyone 😂😂😂. I did meet up with Judy as arranged and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day with her. Looking forward to the next one 😊
