Hello, so good to have this forum. I am struggling with pv. My levels are up and down like a yo yo as are the amounts of hydroxy I take, plus I’m back on venesections. I am fatigued as always and my blood pressure is high despite meds. Though for some reason this morning it went down to 119/76 from 155/85 and higher often. I am hypothyroid on thyroxine and trying to get ft3 blood test to understand more what is happening there. Aspirin makes me bruise spontaneously so take judicially. Have been given clopidogrel, I really don’t want to add to my med load, will it be of help have some information from you experts. thank you. Mal

Hi Mal42, yes i'm on Clopidogrel,it was prescribed to me in 2015 while on the stroke unit by my stroke consultant as she said it was better than Aspirin which I was taking with the Hydrea at the time but I also bruise spontaneously and at the moment my legs look like i've been kicked by an horse,so I think its the nature of Mpn's unfortunately. Atb,tina.🤗
I swapped from aspirin to clopidigrel and my periods stopped. When I was having tests my blood was clotting far too quickly so I swapped back to aspirin. I also did an online dna test and weirdly it said that I was genetically insensitive to clopidigrel.

Anyone with experience of both aspirin and Clopidogrel (Plavix)?
My hematologist wanted to change my Aspirin to clopiogrel instead. I am not familiar with this drug.
