Hey everyone this is a slightly older article, however, it definitely holds some interest for me as someone with MF who is always looking for other ways to treat my MPN condition.

These trials were conducted by Spanish researchers using a number of drugs in combination with Ruxolitinib.

Best wishes

Steve

Hi as a fellow MF sufferer that makes very interesting reading, let’s hope something comes out of it all.

Hey Skye... :-)

As you say, it makes for a very interesting read. However, there still seems to be quite few question marks over the Benefits v. Liabilities of Niolitinib, in my view...

Hopefully, we shall all be all the wiser once they report back on the trials currently underway etc...

Best wishes Skye... ;-)

That’s really promising Steve. I personally think combination therapy is the way to go in many advanced disease treatments. Gives us all hope!

Hey Mary... :-)

Hope all's well in your world...

We are all so different as you know I am sure. Hence, if it offers hope even for just a few, that would be welcome of course...

Best wishes

Do you believe that if such treatments work, could eliminate he need for transplant?

Hi Aneliv9... :-)

Hmmm...? Good question!

However, I am not really qualified to answer this as you are aware, for I too am just another patient here looking for answers...

Nevertheless, personally, I doubt that these treatments are a 'Cure' as such. However, anything that might extend our longevity, (by slowing the MPN's progression), and our Quality of Life (QoL), is most welcome, in my view...

ASCTs (Allogenic Stem Cell Transplants) are the last resort, as they can tend to have unintended consequences like acute GVHD, as many here already are well aware...

However, in the Interim, (during our 'Watch & Wait' maintenance regimes), we still need to take the best care of ourselves as is possible with diet & exercise, in my view... :-)

Best wishes

Steve
