Hey guys... :-)

Here is a really different way to change your usual dietary regime, well at least according to one group of scientists...

Very interesting! Thankyou Steve, think I’d rather do it by diet but let’s see how the trial goes 💩

Hey Melanie... ;-)

Yes, it sounds awful, but it is refined as much as possible before being recreated inside a simple capsule etc...

It sounds like a very useful way of altering or completely changing the gut biome... And for many forms of cancer, they are contributed to largely by a very poor gut biome, or so they have reported here too...

Anyways, nothing is w/out some risk... is it?

Best wishes :-)

Doesn't sound good to me either I personally prefer to keep it Natural..

But in the Name of Science, we should give it a go if possible...

However as you said, All Life is A Risk, one way or another...

Hey Mary... ;-)

Some might argue that it would be hard to be anymore natural than this... :-)

On the other hand, currently the drugs I must take are highly toxic... One must wonder what manner of harm that they are causing over time???

Worth watching and listening to as things continue to move forward anyways, in my view...

Yes you and me Both, I still take HU, which does make me wonder "exactly what is it doing to me, besides controlling Platelets " ?

I have said, "the Day I develop Leg Ulcers etc, is the Day I stop taking Hydroxycarbamide ".....

I hope to follow this latest bit of research, who knows I may get a New Stool too 😬

Hope it's a little warmer for you in the Antipodes :-)

Well, I almost rushed for the IKEA catalogue when I read the heading. Like Melanie, change by diet would be a preference for me also, however very interesting.

Hey Fionnuaghla... :-)

Yes, sneaky play on words... However, for many people, changing one's diet is almost a physical impossibility. Hence, this could quite possibly be a relatively simple fix... So to speak... ;-)

Low inflammatory diet makes a huge differnce to the aches and pains that go along with this 'thing'! I try desperately to stick to it and can tell when I'm succeeding. If only that could be 'all the time'. ATB

Interesting. Probiotics worth a look. Thanks for posting.

You are most welcome... & yes, it is simply really just a probiotic...

However, the researchers state something to the effect that Probiotics must be taken continuously to maintain the effect of the gut biome ...

However, once the 'stool' approach is used, it changes the biome itself!

I will certainly add them to my cucumin in my diet.

An anti-inflammatory diet, is not about starving... It is about knowing what things can cause Inflammation, and then avoiding them altogether... :-)

This is fascinating, Steve. I've been reading about this approach in a number of different health situations and the promise it holds. Hope it extends to MPN's sometime soon; I'd sign up for a trial, since diet can only take us so far. Thanks for posting. Kim

Hey Kim... :-)

Yes, well I do believe that it can also apply to peole w/ an MPN. Simply because one of the things that actually contributes to various forms of cancer is a poor gut biome. Inflammation, is present in most chronic illnesses, and most of them that are also associated with ageing too...

Diets can be extremely difficult to maintain, and perhaps one of the reasons why is because of our poor gut biomes (?)

Hence, anything that can improve such an outcome is worthy of our attentions, in my view...

Best wishes Kim :-)
