Hey everyone... :-)

Just had to Post this one, as it really does focus on the sort of things that I am personally of the opinion could help us all overcome our illnesses in the simplest of ways; by eating the right way...

This is a most engaging TED TALK, and even though it is a tad older... it is still great Food for Thought. Pardon the intended pun. :D

Hope you find is as interesting as I do...

Best wishes

Hey ggrana... :-)

You are most welcome... I found it something that perhaps we all ought to take more notice of... Simple stuff really in the end, and prevention is always better than cure, in my view... ;-)

Hey Poppy... :-)

Yes, apparently eating the wrong things hey... Who would of thought that putting the wrong things in one's mouth could help us contract a long term chronic illness...

Should have been a no–brainier really, I guess... ;-)

Thanks for this. Very interesting. Given that this was 9 years ago, it seems strange that diet doesn't figure more highly in research. There does seems to be a lot of overlap with the anti inflammatory diet.

Hey Bluetop... :-)

Yes, curious perhaps, but unfortunately, (& being the cynic I am), there appears to be a very simple equation at work here...

There's more money in pharmaceuticals than there is in advising people concerning how best to eat to avoid certain problems w/ their health, in my view...

Yet, if one were to calculate the savings the health system might reap from a more pro-active approach that might all change...

However, methinks a huge social paradigm shift would first need to occur in order for such measures to take effect...

One remains an eternal optimist just the same... :-0)

Best wishes

Yes, I think you may be right. The Nutrient study in US last year was a start, but much more research is needed in the area. Anyway, I shall keep taking my cucumin!

I am also on an anti-inflammatory diet w/ some daily intermittent fasting, and I can attest to how it has improved my energy levels, and mobility... :-)

Best wishes
