You may want to try the coated aspirin kinder on the tummy. I agree these blister packs can be difficult was much better in bottles and better for the environment too. Take care Malaika

I often cut my fingers on the foil blister packs of aspirin, the coated aspirin are better for your stomach. Also I sometimes end up taking the bread knife to the little bottles of Anagrelide because I cannot open the child proof tops!

If you live in the UK you can buy a pack of 100 75mg soluble aspirin from Asda for 85p.

In the states they sell aspirin in bottles with just one foil to remove at the top of the bottle one time, readily available -all the time due to the mega stores. Guess that speaks to how we're such pill pushers over here -indulgence. I haven't heard of a soluable aspirin. Good luck with HU and keep us posted.

I know aspirin are cheap to buy, but that would mean that they are not on the list of my required medicines. There is a medical exemption on prescription charges for people with MPN’s.

I keep a spare prescription request form in my diary which has my details, my GP’s details and my medicines, and I keep a list of my medical investigations. It saves so much hassle to have these details written down in A&E.

I put one day’s medicines in a small bottle in my handbag when I go out.

So many people are admitted to hospital without their essential medicines and it can be impossible to get them from pharmacy at weekends.

I have a card from MPN Voice. I put my Et CalR MPN. On card medication and home number, my next of kin. Hospital contact number. And Hospital number. Also a small tablet dispense box with spare Hydroxy and other medications I’m on.
