I have been having alot of dizziness and nausea on and off over the last 2 years and was told I have vertigo. Just seems that I shouldn't have vertigo so often. Do these symptoms go along with ET?

Symptoms
Hi Beachchik, I suffered from dizzy spells maybe once a week and blurred vision 2 or 3 times, both of which can make you feel nauseous, for about a year before I was diagnosed with ET. I have not suffered either condition since taking hydroxycarbamide and aspirin in the last eighteen months so I my humble opinion I would say yes they are ET symptoms.
All best Barry
Yes, definitely a symptom of ET. I ruled out vertigo by having a simple movement test done & once I started drinking more water & taking my aspirin it has reduced markedly.
Sorry can't help with ET but one way to find out is to try the Epley Manoeuvre as if it fixes it it's not the ET. Look on YouTube and then find some in our area you can take you though it.

My platelets are in normal range due to Hydroxycarbamide and aspirin. I very recently had 2 days of nausea and dizziness, not had it since before treatment. The weather here became suddenly very warm and I was out grass cutting and think it may have been a mixture of higher temperature, too much bending up and down and maybe I hadn't had enough water. Forgot how awful it felt. Last summer was my first with ET and thinking back I was very lethargic when it was warm, maybe a connection for me anyway.

Definitely dizziness, I get it regularly. Collapsed at work once. Hope you get answers.
Dizziness is definitely a symptom of ET, and can vary in degree of severity, you have my sympathy, as it's horrible. Maz
I had the odd bout of dizziness and ‘scintillating scotoma’ leading up to ET diagnosis. I presumed at the time it was an aging thing.
I have been on aspirin and hydrea for three years now and those symptoms have disappeared. That makes me think it was the ET!
Are you on treatment?
