Have you been diagnosed yet? I wish my platelets were as healthy as yours. Three years ago I was around 130,000 and now I’m 37. Just 37! I’ve been under 40 for at least two years. Strangely enough, this hasn’t disrupted my daily life. I bruise more easily and bleed if my skin gets in the way of me gardening or my cat. But I don’t bleed excessively. How are you feeling in general? Low platelets seem to be rare.

Definitely follow up with a hematologist about this. You are posting on an MPN site, so I am assuming that you know what Myelofibroisis is. This is NOT to say that is what is going on for you, but can certainly understand where you would be concerned. Getting an accurate and timely assessment by a provider who knows about these sorts of disorders is essential. Here is a list of some patient recommended MPN knowledgeable docs mpnforum.com/list-hem/ . All the best.
