Wondering if anyone with ET has suffered from really bad ache and pain across the upper back rib cage from one side to the other. Is this a symptom? I have not yet got back on Hydroxy after stopping it for radiotherapy. I would appreciate your input.

I'm not sure I can offer any real help. Because really, you might just have simply pulled a muscle etc...
However, are you currently taking any anti-viral drugs for your condition?
I noted in an earlier post of yours that you have had some radiation treatment...
I do not want to alarm you in any way, however, sometimes 'Shingles' are caused after the treatment of some drugs, unless you are taking anti-virals...
Shingles are often experienced across the shoulder blades, and they can be extremely painful, as I understand it...
Might be worth checking w/ your specialist or at least your GP.
Thank you for your suggestions Steve. I am beginning to think it may be muscle strain as it is easing after a few days. I have had Shingles some years ago so know it isn't that as I would recognise the pain. I really will have to contact Haematology or my GP soon to see where I go from here if I don't hear from them. Kind regards Fran
