Second time with a cold!

Hi, I just wanted to write about what is happening to me this winter. End November beginning of December I had this terrible cold that lasted long. Now beginning of January again a cold with runny nose and eyes and also sore throat and some cough. What's more I feel miserable and incapable of doing my job. This is so unlike me especially since I had the pneumonia jab 2 years ago and I felt strong and invincible! I started Hydro in October. I will ask my doctor tomorrow but I feel as if my immune system is non existent. Maybe Hydro has this effect on me? Together with hair loss and who knows what else? Latest results showed lower platelets (434) but haematocrit (50,9) and other counts have not moved. I started vitamins I don't know what to do to protect myself further. Something else that I have noticed is that my brain function has slowed down a bit. Two months ago I used to be more frisky in arranging my day to day schedule. Now I don't mind taking it easy or postponing certain jobs to be done. Anyone recognizes these symptoms? Or am I just tired?

Hi Kelly,

I had the same problem last winter with flu in December and a heavy cold in Jan/Feb. It is generally recognised that hydroxy weakens the immune system, so I put it down to that. So far this winter I've been ok 🤞🤞

You mentioned that you have started vitamin supplements, and I suggest that you ensure that you get at least 1000 iu of vitamin D3 per day. It has made a huge difference to me after I found that I had a vit D deficit

Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

John

Hi, I've more or less had a permanent cold this winter (PV on interferon). It's very unlike me, and I have a tendency to blame it on the drugs, but perhaps it's just a horrible winter for bugs! Hope you feel better soon.....Spring is coming! Xx

Hi, yesterday I took an antihistamine pill and all the cold symptoms were gone. Today I felt fine and went by my usual schedule so I totally recommend it. I thought I discovered it but I was told that others use it for the same purpose as well.

me too. I hate that. And find it hard to swallow. Luckily the ones I take now are easy to open and mix easy with juices or smoothies. And help to boost the immune system

I take Echinacea. it is a herb which has been used for quite a long time to treat many infections, cold and flues. I found some products made from these extracts and the name is just like that. Echinacea by Eu Natural
