MF, Jakafi, and Osteosclerosis

Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with MF post PV since 4 months, in my last BM biopsy it states MF3 for bone fibrosis and the Osteosclerosis is obvious now. My set of questions are:

1- Does Jakafi hinder or slow the Osteosclerosis down?

2- Can this Osteosclerosis retract somehow after the HCT (Transplant)?

3- How much does the MF-3 level of bone fibrosis impact the overall survival after the HCT?

4- How could they know from the BM biopsy about the Osteosclerosis in the bone?

My coming appointment is 1 month far and I cannot wait till then to get the answers, so your feedback is highly appreciated otherwise the curiosity is gonna kill the cat.

I have myelofibrosis and osteosclerosis. Only been on Jakafi 3 months

The osteolytic aspect of our osteoclasts are basically nonfunctional. I don’t know why

All very good questions, I have all the same issues. Did you get

answers to your questions? What medications are you on?

My osteosclerosis can be seen radiograpically, my dense bone

appears as though it minimizes the actual bone marrow
