PV and research into the Endocannabinoid System

Any others with PV who are finding out about the wide-ranging scientific research about Cannabidiol (CBD) Oil and its effective treatment for modern diseases that never used to be around three generations ago when Hemp was a part of the food chain? I'm taking CBD Oil and after only a few weeks have been experiencing some lessening of "itchy" symptoms. Could PV be another "incurable" genetic disorder that we may discover can be reversed through taking CBD Oil? Anyone else want to give it a try? What have we got to lose?

Hello There,

I was very interested in reading about CBD Oil and seeing that it could help with PV symptom. I dont know where you live but here in The Channel Islands it is now classed as legal. So in the light of that I am seriously thinking of trying it. As I have always thought as a bit dangerous. Scaredy cat that's me. Do you really think it has helped you ? If that is correct it would be a wonderful thing for us all. I know it is VERY expensive, we have been told about £66 for one months supply, but after all it is our lives that are at risk. I would say that just relieving the dreaded 'itch' and the awful rash that I have would be great.

Hi Bordeaux Girl,

Just to set the record straight, the CBD Oil that I use is made from Hemp not Marijuana. Growing Hemp is legal because it has many uses and does not contain any psychoactive ingredients, so there is no possibility that you can use it as a recreational drug. The cannabinoids are used by your body to restore balance not make you disturbed. Yes it is expensive. What I buy is from Kannaway and is the best quality that you can rely on. If you know anyone else who may benefit from taking CBD Oil you can get yours for free! Take a look at cbd4u.uk.

Keep in touch if you decide to try it so we can compare notes.

Interested in the CBD oil, since I live in the state of Washington where all is legal.

Would this be something I could go to a dispensary and request or is a prescription required?

Thank you for the info!

Sheryl

I'm using CBD Oil made from Hemp, which is legal in most countries. In the UK it is classified as a Food Supplement so it is not necessary to get a prescription. I think it is the same in the U.S. Kannaway is a company that I respect as a quality provider so you can purchase it from their online store at kannaway.com/?9956994. Look forward to hearing how you get on.

always discuss with your haematologist before taking/using any supplements or vitamins etc, they may have contra-indications to your MPN medication.

I completely agree with you about taking synthetic supplements but I find that natural products don't have side-effects, unlike those that I get from taking hydroxycarbamide. There is no known contra-indication from taking cbd oil made from natural, organically grown hemp.
