ET Diagnosed in 2004 - I blame it on Agent Orange exposure during Vietnam tour in 1968-69.

Platelets increased in early 2000's. I took Hydroxuria from 2004-12. Platelet count is now in normal range. Vietnam era Agent Orange VA claim for ET denied in 2016 (ET is not on congressional presumptive list of AO caused diseases). Hemoglobin count is now going down but I don't feel anemic. Doctor wants me to have a third bone marrow biopsy for decreased hemoglobin count to see what is going on.

Hi Bippers. I would imagine that AO is the cause of a lot of illness that will remain unproven.

Good luck with biopsy and I wish you well. Mel x

I thought I had read somewhere that MPN were being reviewed as AO related disability. We need to keep trying.
