I just wanted to say a thank you to everyone who helped me with information for my critical illness claim. I received confirmation from my insurers that they are settling this time and it's so nice not to have to battle anymore. Strangely, what they won't do is refund all the premiums since my original claim three and a half years ago. I'm not sure whether to pursue this or just be thankful that they have finally agreed to pay. Nothing has really changed with my condition other than I have had more periods of fatigue.
Anyway, thanks again and to anyone going through something similar - don't take no for an answer.

I would definately pursue the premiums, fair enough if you had chosen not to claim, but as you tried and they rejected it then it seems fair they should.
Tell them you dont feel you are being treated fairly as a customer as you have had to pay unnecessary premiums.
